As a young child I was obsessed with crafts and miniatures and one of my hobbies was carving small sculptures in chalk. I studied Fine Arts in Bogota, Colombia focusing on painting and sculpting. After graduation, I moved to New York to continue my studies in Fine Arts, but instead, by chance, I discovered the Art of Jewelry which combined my love of miniatures with sculpture and painting. I never looked back.
To pursue my new found passion I moved to Florence, Italy where I graduated from Le Arti Orafe Jewelry School and then worked under the tutelage of master goldsmiths in Florence right on Ponte Vecchio in one of the oldest and most prestigious Ateliers under the Vasari Corridor and in Sicily working with a special collection with ancient Sciacca coral. After five years in Italy, I returned to New York where I worked for a well known fine jewelry designer until the birth of my son.
I now work from my studio in Livingston NJ, designing and creating my own one of a kind and limited collection jewelry. I am inspired by nature and gemstones, my jewelry is contemporary with a classic touch. I've always loved the contrast of silver and gold together and many of my pieces reflect that. I enjoy carving organic shapes in wax, I specially love working with and transforming precious metals and combine them with the natural beauty of gems, creating unique and timeless pieces that can tell a story.
